Sheffield’s Beer & Wine Garden

Sheffield’s Beer & Wine Garden is a Lakeview bar at 3258 N. Sheffield Ave., at the corner of School Street, a couple of blocks south of Wrigley Field. The bar has been part of Chicago’s craft beer scene for more than 30 years and keeps many drafts, more than 100 bottled beers and a vintage beer collection. The Smoker Room Bar has an encased hickory smoker for baby back ribs and brisket. Four bars and two fireplaces surround the beer garden, and a monthly featured brewery gets a run of discounted drafts.

What to know

• No children are allowed after 7 p.m.; minors must be with a parent.
• Bikes, scooters and skateboards are not allowed inside or on the patio.
• The Belmont Red, Brown and Purple Line stop is a short walk away.
• The bar runs beer and wine clubs and books private parties.
