Skylark

Skylark opened in 2003 at 2149 S. Halsted St., in a 1910 building commissioned as a tied house, a saloon linked to a single brewery. Founder Bob McHale sold the bar to six longtime workers in early 2024. The kitchen runs late, with tater tots, pierogies, a half-pound Skylark Burger and a separate brunch menu. The events calendar lists free shows, including a surf band on the first Sunday of each month.
