Sluggers

Sluggers is a large sports bar on Clark Street a block south of Wrigley Field in Wrigleyville. The ground floor is a full bar with a food and drink menu, while the second floor holds batting cages, arcade games and a dueling-piano stage that runs on weekends. The room fills before and after every Cubs home game, and the crowd is the pregame and postgame kind rather than a quiet-drink one.

• The cages upstairs are indoors, so they work in April as well as July.
