Soul & Smoke Avondale is the riverside location of the barbecue and soul food company founded by chef D’Andre Carter and Heather Bublick, at 3057 N Rockwell St. The dining room and patio overlook the river. The kitchen smokes Duroc rib tips, prime brisket over hickory and cherry wood, Niman Ranch pulled pork and turkey tips, and also serves gumbo, red beans and rice and shrimp and grits.
