The Brown Elephant Andersonville is a nonprofit resale shop at 5404 N. Clark St. in Andersonville, run by Howard Brown Health. The store sells donated clothing, accessories, jewelry, housewares, furniture, art, books and seasonal decor, and every dollar of proceeds funds LGBTQ+ health care and care for uninsured and underinsured patients at Howard Brown clinics. The Andersonville shop also hosts free HIV and STI screenings through Howard Brown’s outreach program.
