The Second City is the sketch and improv comedy theater at 230 W North Ave in Old Town, with the Mainstage, the e.t.c. theater and the UP Comedy Club under one roof. The stages run original revues that change a few times a year, and drinks are served at the table during shows. A training center in the same complex teaches improv, acting and writing classes.
What to know
- Three separate stages share the North Avenue building.
- Each revue runs for months before a new one replaces it, so the show changes between visits.
- Table service during the show means a drink order does not require leaving the seat.
