Tony’s Italian Deli & Subs

Tony’s Italian Deli & Subs has been in the Dalmazio family since 1978. Vito Dalmazio, born in Ciminna, Sicily, and Maria Dalmazio, born in Abruzzo, run the Edison Park shop with their daughters Jennifer and Josie, and the recipes are the family’s. The counter builds Italian subs and sells soups, and the coolers are stocked with house-made spaghetti sauce, giardiniera, pastas and pizzas to heat at home. The rest of the store is an old-fashioned Italian grocery: flavored olive oils, vinegars, canned tomatoes, espresso and Bialetti Moka pots. Tony’s advanced to round three of WGN Radio’s Best Delis Tournament in 2026.
