Unison Coffee

Unison Coffee opened in April 2026 inside the new BandWith Chicago performing arts center at 152 S. California Ave., a converted casket factory in East Garfield Park, and held a grand opening on May 16. The cafe has a separate entrance and an outdoor patio, and every dollar supports BandWith’s free after-school music programs. Ty Banks, co-owner of Drip Collective in the West Loop, set up the coffee program: espresso and drip from Ethiopian, Colombian and Mexican beans, plus matcha and hojicha. House drinks include a $7 yuzu tonic and a $6 lavender thyme latte, and a morning happy hour discounts drip, espresso and cortados until 10 a.m.
