Yeowoosai

Yeowoosai is a Korean restaurant and bar at 6248 N. California Ave. in West Ridge, next to a karaoke venue. The menu is built for groups, with large shareable plates such as Daktigem popcorn chicken, seafood pajeon, galbi, budae jjigae and a Hawaiian-style kimchi fried rice with Spam, bacon, pineapple, mozzarella and eggs. K-pop music videos play on every screen, and the bar pours soju cocktails and draft beer.

What to know

• The restaurant has served Korean comfort food since 1995 and calls itself the city’s longest-standing Korean K-pop spot.
• The Loyola Red Line stop is about a mile east; the 155 Devon bus or a rideshare is the practical way in.
• Street parking on nearby Devon Avenue is easy late at night.
