Zanies Comedy Club

Zanies has been a stand-up room on N Wells Street in Old Town since the late 1970s, a low-ceilinged club where touring headliners work alongside Chicago comics. The schedule mixes named headliners, multi-comic lineup nights, a Headliner Series, roast battles and late shows. All performances are 21 and over, doors open 30 minutes before showtime, and the box office runs from mid-afternoon until half an hour after the last show. Because of counterfeit tickets from resale sites, the club sells only through its own site and Etix and asks for a valid photo ID at the door.
