Oktoberfest at Naper Settlement

Naper Settlement’s Oktoberfest is the museum’s biggest fall fundraiser. According to a September 23, 2026 Positively Naperville listing, it runs Friday, October 2 from 5 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, October 3 from 3 to 10 p.m., with tickets at $25 for adults and $15 for children ages 4 to 12. Food is German (bratwurst, pretzels and the like), beer runs from local craft to traditional Oktoberfest styles, and the music mixes oompah, polka and country.

Saturday has the expanded children’s area and the stein-holding contests from 5 to 5:30 p.m., per the listing. Everything happens on the museum’s 13 acres of historic buildings, so you can wander between the tent, the beer stands and the lit grounds.

Tickets are sold on the museum’s site. The museum, run by the Naperville Heritage Society, says details are subject to change.

Plan your visit

The Naperville Metra station on the BNSF line is a 15-minute walk north of the museum along Webster Street, and outbound trains from Union Station run late on Friday and Saturday. Drivers should use the free downtown garages (Central Parking Facility on Chicago Avenue or the Van Buren garage) rather than hunting for street spots near the Riverwalk. Saturday from 6 p.m. on is the crowded stretch, when the tent fills and the food lines lengthen; Friday at opening is easy. Bring ID for beer, a layer for the walk between the tent and the grounds, and small bills for food stands.
