Kasama is a Filipino bakery and restaurant at 1001 N. Winchester Ave. in Ukrainian Village, two restaurants in one building. By day the counter sells pastries and Filipino breakfast and lunch plates; by night, Thursday through Sunday, chefs Genie Kwon and Tim Flores run a reservation-only Filipino tasting menu. Whole pastries can be ordered online for pickup.
What to know
- Daytime service is counter service, and the kitchen closes at 2 p.m. or when capacity is reached, whichever comes first.
- The tasting menu is $325 a person, with a $195 beverage pairing or a $95 non-alcoholic pairing.
- Daytime runs Wednesday through Sunday.
- The Division Blue Line stop is about a 10-minute walk east; the 70 Division, 9 Ashland and 66 Chicago buses are closer.
- Street parking on Winchester is permit restricted.
